PulpEye supports Cyclone Gabrielle recovery at Pan Pac mill New Zealand

In February 2023, Cyclone Gabrielle severely damaged Pan Pac Forest Products' Whirinaki site, a key BCTMP mill in New Zealand. Despite extensive damage, the company, backed by Oji Holdings, is rebuilding and advancing its operations. A notable upgrade includes the installation of a new PulpEye on-line fibre analyser, enhancing production efficiency and quality. Poised for a strong comeback, Pan Pac is committed to maintaining its high standards in pulp production for the market.

Forskningsprojektet Industry 5.0

PulpEye is participating in the Swedish pilot project Industry 5.0, a two-year initiative aimed at finding more efficient and secure methods for remote monitoring of mill processes. Funded by the Strategic Innovation Program for Process Industrial IT and Automation, the project involves the development of new technologies such as the RedEye analyzer and also focuses on aspects like IT security and user interfaces to improve and streamline process monitoring globally.
